Royal Liver Assurance is celebrating after it was described as ‘an impressive organisation that continues to move forward and improve; with a very positive attitude and atmosphere among employees’.
This was the feedback from the Investors in People (IiP) assessor when it was announced that Royal Liver Assurance had been awarded IiP status.
Royal Liver’s People and Brand Director, Peter Denheen, said: “I am very proud of our achievement. We have come a long way in a short space of time and to receive this kind of feedback from the independent assessor is excellent.”
Achieving IiP status ties in with Royal Liver’s corporate strategy, using the IiP framework supported the organisation’s improvements to reward and communication processes and to learning and development opportunities for employees.
“Investors in People allows us to tailor the way we support our people directly to our business objectives,” said Peter. This means, through development, our people have a direct positive impact on our long term business strategy.
“It is much more than just an award for us; it is a means to an end and is really delivering for the business. Developing a high performance culture has a direct impact on the bottom line and feedback from within the business tells us it is working.”
Seventy members of Royal Liver staff took part in the IiP assessment. They were joined by their colleagues, members of the Executive team and Royal Liver Delegates at an official ceremony to celebrate the award.
Peter Denheen said: “The celebration was our way of recognising the commitment all our staff have shown to the business and thanking them for their input into the process.”
