Assembling at the Annual General Meeting, the 200-strong Delegation takes decisions on behalf of the Members on the policies and strategic direction of Royal Liver Group. Delegates also provide input to the Royal Liver Group Committee of Management throughout the year.

Following application, successful candidates are elected to this challenging role by Royal Liver Group Members in each of the 12 Electoral Areas (E.A.) across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Delegate Vacancies for 2009 will be advertised in January.

Under the Society’s Rules, candidates seeking election as a Delegate must satisfy the following requirements:

> Be not less than 18 years of age;

> Be a Member of the Society for one year or more in respect of a policy which is in full benefit;

> Reside within the Electoral Area/Division in which election is sought.

Elections in respect of Delegates are notified in a newspaper circulating in the Electoral Area in which a vacancy exists in January of each year and published on the Society's website.
